In today’s rapidly dynamic and uncertain business environment, the significance of human resources (HR) within an organisation cannot be belittled. HR is to advise and assist professionals on how to handle employees and deal with complex situations. Managing effectively is central to ensure lower employee turnover.
HR is also vital as doing “what makes sense” is no longer applicable in the modern litigious society. To avert employers from discrimination in their handling of employees, governments have to put into practise laws and reporting requirements that have pretty stringent monetary consequences.
Bearing this in mind, we provide individuals and companies involved in the HR field a platform that serves these two tasks. HR REPUBLIC is an international manifestation project and managed by an independent country organizer. Essentially, we are a relationship based, recognition project established for the benefit of HR professionals, practitioners and community specialists. By presenting a shared platform where they can communicate with one another, HR professionals can share and collaborate on knowledge, tools and challenges and raise their profiles within the platform. Through our events such as conferences, workshops and other networking events, HR professionals can further build their rapport with each other.
In addition, through our online portal, we hope to operate as a resource centre and a dais for HR professionals from our five Chapters to network as well as playing host to blog articles, forum discussions and webinars. Other facets include job postings, member’s directory, survey findings, online membership and partnership forms amongst many others.
Being a relationship based platform, the greater the number of members, the greater the value members can derive from HR REPUBLIC and its resources, and thus, I encourage all HR professional and practitioners to join us in making HR REPUBLIC a success.
